S$1.00
The PROPHY-MATE Dental Air Polisher is engineered for precision intraoral sandblasting and teeth whitening. Featuring a 360° flexible rotating handpiece, it enables clinicians to access all tooth surfaces without repositioning the patient. The high-capacity powder reservoir ensures extended operation between refills, reducing workflow interruptions. Its detachable nozzle design allows for rapid sterilization, meeting strict clinical hygiene standards. Compatible with standard 4-hole dental units, this system delivers uniform powder distribution for efficient stain removal and enamel polishing. Ideal for prophylaxis, cosmetic dentistry, and implant maintenance.
Application Scenarios
Intraoral Sandblasting & Stain Removal: Effectively removes extrinsic stains caused by tea, coffee, tobacco, and betel nut from tooth surfaces and interproximal areas.
Orthodontic Appliance Cleaning: Ideal for cleaning around brackets, wires, and bands without damaging orthodontic components.
Periodontal Pocket Debridement: Assists in removing biofilm and calculus from periodontal pockets when used with specific low-pressure settings and powders (subject to clinical protocol).
Implant Maintenance: Safe for cleaning titanium implant surfaces and abutments using non-abrasive glycine or erythritol powder (verify powder compatibility).
Warnings & Precautions
Contraindications: Do not use on patients with respiratory diseases (e.g., asthma, COPD) unless proper suction and isolation are guaranteed. Avoid use on exposed dentin, cementum, or composite restorations if using coarse abrasive powders.
Reservoir Safety: DO NOT STERILIZE THE POWDER RESERVOIR. Sterilization via heat (autoclave) or chemicals (alcohol/disinfectants) will cause material degradation and cracking. Clean only with recommended methods.
Eye & Airway Protection: Always provide the patient with protective eyewear and a high-volume evacuator (HVE) to prevent powder inhalation and eye irritation. The operator must also wear protective eyewear.
Pressure Limits: Strictly adhere to the input air pressure range of 2.5-4.0 bar. Exceeding this limit may damage the internal turbine or cause handpiece failure.
Nozzle Inspection: Inspect the nozzle tip before every use. Do not use if the tip is worn, cracked, or blocked, as this affects spray pattern and safety.
